This year you have donated an incredible 4,000 toys to the More Radio Toy Appeal.
These thousands of toys will go to disadvantaged children across Sussex, who may not have got a present this Christmas, who may be spending the festive season in hospital, or may suffer from physical or learning disability.
On behalf of them, we thank you so much for your donations.
We also give a special thank you to Sharon Mitchener from Polegate, who has donated £300 worth of toys to More Radio Toy Appeal!
Sharon collects toys every year for her local church’s toy appeal, and when she found out they were not running their appeal this year, she decided to donate to us instead.
She has already said she will start buying for next year’s appeal in January!
Your amazing donations will make such a difference to someone this Christmas.
Charities and organisations that will benefit from your generosity include:
The Children with Cancer fund
Their aim is to grant wishes to children up to the age of eighteen, and their families, who have, or have had, cancer and who primarily live in East Sussex. Wishes can be practical, medical or fun and made to individual families as well as supporting a group together by giving them quality family time.
The Salvation Army
The Salvation Army provide toys and food to families every Christmas, and have been doing this in Eastbourne for the past 20 years. They receive information about families in crisis from Social Services, Children’s Services and other organisations who work with families.
