The owner of a garage in Eastbourne has offer £1,000 for information into the theft of eleven motocross bikes.
The bikes were taken, along with a van, clothing and several GoPro cameras, from HL Racing in Oak Tree Lane on December 17 last year.
Sussex Police say two people, with their faces covered and wearing gloves, broke into the store at some time between 6.45pm and 9.43pm that evening.
One of the company’s vans, an Iveco Daily Luton, was used to carry the bikes away.
It was found abandoned and burnt out on Bodle Street Green near Hailsham later in the same evening.
Officers suggest the pair may have been using a burgundy-coloured Land Rover Discovery with jacked-up wheels, and used back roads out of Eastbourne.
PC Jon Moore said:
“This incident has devastated a local business who operate amongst a close-knit community in the motocross world.
“If you have any information about where these bikes may be or perhaps have been offered any of the other items in suspicious circumstances, please email us at [email protected] quoting serial 1404 of 17/12.”
