Runners everywhere are out training for marathons across the UK at the minute. Brighton Marathon is now just round the corner (on Sunday April 9!) and More Radio’s Hayley Hammond is tackling the 26.2 miles in aid of Chestnut Tree House.

‘Chestnut Tree House is the children’s hospice for East and West Sussex, Brighton and Hove and South East Hampshire and cares for 300 children and young adults from 0-19 years of age with progressive life-shortening conditions.’

It will be Hayley’s first ever full marathon and here’s what she has to say about why she’s doing it:

“I always like to set myself a new challenge to work towards and having done 3 half marathons now, the full thing just had to be next on the list. It’s definitely not going to be easy and the training is taking over my life but if I can raise a nice amount of money for Chestnut Tree House then it will all be worth it! Having worked with children before, I know how precious and special they are to all those around them and Chestnut Tree House really do work hard to ensure they have the best life possible and really help support the family too.”

You can donate online to Hayley’s JustGiving page or text MORE90 £5 to 70070 to donate £5 now!
