The Friends of Eastbourne Hospital are on a mission to raise £500,000 for a second CT scanner at the Eastbourne DGH.
Gardens Open for the FoEH across the region.
The FoEH Open Garden Scheme kicks off with three beautiful town gardens in Baldwin Avenue, Eastbourne on Wednesday 17 May. This year there are fourteen gardens opening on ten different dates from May to July and there is something there to suit everyone. You can download the brochure, or pick it up in our hospital shop.
This is a chance for people to visit some stunning private gardens, in beautiful locations whilst supporting their local hospital. Visitors can enjoy morning coffee or afternoon tea and some delicious homemade cakes. Three of the gardens will be open all day and, at these, a ploughman’s lunch will be available for guests to buy and enjoy. At all the gardens there’s the chance to buy some very well priced plants, remade cards, gifts and books. All the money raised goes towards a second CT scanner at the Eastbourne DGH.
For some this is the chance to indulge in all things horticultural, whilst for other’s it’s a chance to ‘get beyond the garden gate’ and see what other people do in their gardens. So whether you’re a garden guru or simply a curious soul, why not come along and appreciate the hard work of the garden owners whilst helping to raise funds for a really good cause.
