How can you help?
The Friends of Eastbourne Hospital need you to get involved to help in our mission to raise £500,000 for a second CT scanner at the Eastbourne DGH. The progress thermometer shows that they are 80% towards their target – just £100,000 to go.
The second CT scanner will be the ‘work horse’ of the department, systematically working through all the routine CT scans. It is light years ahead of the one it replaces and is able to take a 3D image of a patient’s heart in one heartbeat, producing a very sharp image for clinicians to look at. This amazing machine helps in diagnosis and treatment and really does help save lives.
Volunteers play a vital role in fund-raising, whether they work in one of the hospital shops or help at an event like the Open Gardens. If you have a few hours to spare and would like to make a difference then The Friends of Eastbourne Hospital would like to hear from you.
They need volunteers in their Flower Shop, main shop and on the trolley service, as well as at outside events such as the Cream Tea or Art Exhibition. No experience is necessary.
