Findon Valley assault
The woman was attacked in Findon Valley on Tuesday (July, 11)

A woman has been attacked as she walked down a street in Findon Valley.

Sussex Police said she was grabbed from behind by a man in Parham Close in Findon Valley at around 2.52pm on Tuesday (July, 11).

Another woman appeared from around the corner, at which point the offender left the scene and headed towards nearby woods.

The victim was not injured in the incident.

Officers carried out a search of the area but could not find any traces of the man.

Enquiries are currently ongoing.

Police have described the suspect as white, about 5’9”, in his 30s or 40s, of large build, with dark hair.

He was wearing a green or grey shell suit jacket and dark blue gloves.

Police are appealing to anyone with information, particularly those who have seen a man meeting that description in the last few days, to come forward.
