More than 4,000 people are expected to attend Worthing’s Steyne Gardens this afternoon (Saturday, 22) for More Radio Live.

It’s the 16th annual concert from the station, which will be headed by tribute acts to two of the world’s leading bands, Coldplay and Maroon 5.

Coldplace and Maroon 4 will be taking to the stage, along with support from Murdoch’s Crazy Eyes, Synthony 101 and Violet.

Group operations director David Cunningham said:

“This is the 16th year we’ve staged this event in Steyne Gardens and we’ve had many memorable highlights.

“Coming up with new ideas can be a challenge, but this year, as well as some terrific musicians we have some exciting new stage effects which we hope the audience will love.

“We’re excited!”

Also attending the event is Worthing-based charity Wolfram Syndrome UK, who will be collecting at points throughout the show.

The charity supports those with Wolfram Syndrome, a rare condition that reduces life expectancy to between 30 and 40 years.

Gates open from 4.30pm today, with the event starting from 5pm.
