A woman has been left requiring hospital treatment after being assaulted by a fellow dog walker in Littlehampton.

Sussex Police said the attack took place after she became involved in an dispute about the conduct of their animals.

The incident happened in a field adjacent to Randall Way at around 9.55am last Friday (September, 1).

The 36-year-old victim sustained injuries to her head and neck.

Police have described the suspect as being a white man in his late 40’s, 6’1″, of athletic or muscular build, with short cropped, grey or blond hair and white facial stubble.

He was wearing Royal blue t-shirt with white writing, shorts and trainers, and he was walking a small Jack Russell dog with a pink harness.
