A man has been charged in connection with a series of burglaries in Eastbourne and Stone Cross, including thefts from cars.

Jason White, 21, of Vicarage Drive in Eastbourne, has been charged with handling stolen goods following the incidents in July, and will appear in court next month.

An 18-year-old man and 19-year-old woman also from the town were arrested, but have both been released under investigation.

Police have also recovered a number of items from a property in Vicarage Road, and are looking for owners to come forward.

A miniature helmet.
A necklace.
A small watch.

“We found various items including these ones pictured.

“Some items are very distinctive and we will be asking for further details when someone comes forward to claim them.

“A Panasonic Lumix camera contains some photos and we would make sure the person who claims it can identify the pictures.

“We are hoping to reunite these treasures with their rightful owners.”

Anyone who believes any of the items belong to them is asked to contact PC Underwood online here, or call 101 quoting Operation Cave.
