An assault in Brighton, described by police as ‘particularly violent’, has left two West Sussex women with serious facial injuries.

The victims were both aged 20, with one from Littlehampton and the other from Worthing.

Sussex Police said they were walking along Kings Road at around 3.20am on September, 2, when they became involved in an row with a group of around eight to ten men.

Both victims were taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton.

Detective Constable Daniel Aubrey-Smith said:

“The offender needs to brought to justice for what he has done.”

The force said it is looking for a man described as black, in his mid-20s, 5′ 10″, of stocky build and wearing black clothing.
