East Sussex Fire and Rescue attended a car set on fire last night (13 September).

There’s been no confirmation yet if the car was thought to have been set alight deliberately or not.

One fire engine attended the scene of the car which was ablaze at the Polegate by-pass on the A27.

Fire fighters received reports about the fire at 10:20pm last night, and were on the scene tackling the fire ten minutes later.

There are no reports of any injuries and the fire service say they did not have to make any rescues.

A driver on the road at 10:30pm yesterday evening caught this footage of the fire engine making it’s way from Hailsham to the Polegate by-pass, and the car on fire.
