The RNLI was called out at Littlehampton yesterday afternoon (Thursday, 28) to reports of a small leisure boat which had suffered engine failure.
A crew headed out 400 metres from the town harbour shortly after 4pm towards the vessel, which had a crew of three adults and a teenager.
The lifeboat then came alongside the vessel and rigged it up to a tow line.
The RNLI said they were then safely returned to shore.
