A motorcyclist from Rye has been airlifted to hospital with serious injuries following a crash in Camber.

Sussex Police said a John Deere tractor and a Triumph TT600 collided on Lydd Road, close to the village memorial hall, at around 2pm on Saturday (September, 30).

The driver of the tractor has been arrested on suspicion of drug-driving.

Police closed the road for almost four hours while the Kent, Surrey and Sussex air ambulance attended the incident.

The rider was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton for treatment.
