A man from Worthing has been arrested on suspicion of drug driving and careless driving following a crash in Brighton yesterday afternoon (Sunday, 8).
Emergency services were called to Saddlescombe Road at the junction with Devil’s Dyke Road just after 2.15pm after a collision between a blue Volkswagen Golf and green Kawasaki motorcycle.
The motorcyclist, a 60-year-old man from Crawley, was left with a serious leg injury, while his pillion passenger, a 54-year-old woman also from the town, remains in a critical condition.
They were both taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton.
Police said no one else was injured, while the 32-year-old man arrested has been released under investigation.
