Community Achievement – with Mid Sussex District Council

We’re looking for a group or individual who’s made a significant contribution to the community. Maybe they’ve campaigned for something we can all benefit from, improved the local area or made our community a safer place.

Courage Award – with Optimum Kitchen Appliance Stores 

The Courage Award looks to celebrate someone whose bravery has been tested, but who has remained resolute, even in the face of the most frightening or desperate circumstances

WINNER: HENFIELD TENNIS CLUB

The winner of the Best Business Award was founded in 1920 and since then has continued to grow in both size and success. Proving excellent tennis facilities to the people of Henfield, we were told in countless nominations about their excellent new clubhouse and thriving youth section. Many nominations praised its comprehensive competition programme and talented coaches On top of this they have achieved Tennismark Plus accreditation – which means that the club now operates within the highest professional standards recognised by the Lawn Tennis Association – for both on and off court procedures.


 

Best New Business or Organisation

Countless nominations poured in for the winner of our Best New Business, proving in the short time they’ve been open, they’ve made a huge impact on their community and their customers in the beautiful town of Lewes. Combining live music, live events, educational courses, food, drink and a three screen cinema. One nomination stated they enjoyed good beer, very comfy seats, a great picture and epic sound. Another praised it’s excellent education facilities; And one happy customer simply stated it was the ‘best cinema in Sussex!’
