Police have arrested two men following a stabbing in St Leonards yesterday morning (Monday, 23).

Officers were called around 11.30am after the victim was stabbed multiple times in Woodland Vale Road.

Police said he was taken to the Conquest Hospital in Hastings with serious, but not life-threatening injuries, and has been reported to be in a stable condition.

The two men, aged 22 and 23 and both from south London, were arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent in relation to an assault on an unknown person who is believed to be a suspect for the stabbing.

Both men have been released under investigation.

Police said it is also thought a third man suffered head or facial injuries.

A closure was put in place yesterday afternoon on a flat in nearby Tower Road following reported community concerns over suspected drug dealing at the location.

Police said it will remain in place until tomorrow (Wednesday, 25) when a three month closure order will be sought at Hastings Magistrates’ Court.

Anyone who witnessed the stabbing or has other information is asked to report it online here, or call 101 quoting reference number 542 of 23/10.
