Cash and cigarettes have been stolen from a convenience store in Bexhill following an armed robbery early this morning (Friday, 1).

A pair of men entered the One Stop in Sea Road around 5.35am, and threatened a member of staff with two knives, before stealing several thousand pounds and a quantity of cigarettes.

Police said the staff member, a 32-year-old man, was badly shaken but was unhurt.

The men have been described as wearing fluorescent jackets, one orange and one yellow.
