A 24-year-old man from Eastbourne has been left with serious injuries following a stabbing in the town.
Police were called to the incident in Willingdon Road at just before 8am yesterday (Sunday, 3).
When they arrived, paramedics were treating the man for multiple wounds.
The victim was then taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton.
Sussex Police said his injuries are not life-threatening.
A 21-year-old man, of no fixed address, was arrested by police on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent.
He has since been released under investigation.
Police said the road was closed for several hours while forensics were carried out and a knife was seized from the scene.
