Marcus Hudson has been jailed for over four years.

A man from Ardingly has been jailed for over four years after firing a shotgun at his neighbour’s house.

Marcus Hudson, 42, of Oaklands, was arrested three hours after the incident in the road in July this year.

He also shot at the windscreen of a parked car in Gowers Close.

Police said no one was hurt, although damage was caused to a door.

Detective Sergeant Vicki Tomlinson said:

“Hudson’s actions and behaviour caused a lot of fear and anxiety in the local community and luckily no one was hurt that evening.

“We carried out extensive searches for the shotgun but never found it.”

Hudson was charged with possession of a shotgun with intent to cause fear of violence, possession of a loaded shotgun in a public place, and criminal damage.

He pleaded guilty to all of the charges and have been sentenced to four years and three months in prison.
