Poppy tin theft Seaford
Sussex Police have issued this CCTV image of two women they would like to speak to in connection with the incident

Sussex Police are looking for two women in connection with the theft of a poppy collection tin in Seaford.

The poppy tin was taken from the White Lion Hotel in Claremont Road at around 12.30pm on November, 14.

Police said one woman asked to use the toilet after entering the building, while the other sat at the bar.

Both women then left the hotel – officers believe they may be able to help with enquiries.

Police Constable Russ Watson said:

“Any theft is unacceptable but stealing money from a charity is particularly abhorrent.

“If you have any information on who these women might be please get in contact with us immediately.”

Those with information are asked to contact Sussex Police via their website, or by calling 101, quoting the reference number 502 of 16/11.
