A woman has been left with a broken leg after being assaulted outside a One Stop shop in Hastings.
The 30-year-old victim had spoken to a man who became angry and punched her in the face, causing her to fall to the ground.
It happened outside the store in Harold Place around 8.30pm on Tuesday, November 28.
Police said she was taken to the Conquest Hospital in the town for treatment.
Detective Constable Julian Stokes said:
“It is believed that at the time of the assault a single decker bus had just pulled in to the bus stop outside of the One Stop shop in Harold Place, and passengers either alighting or on the bus may have seen what happened.
“If you did witness this assault or have any information please get in touch.”
The suspect has been described as white, aged around 20, and had either short ginger or strawberry blonde hair.
