A government employee from Polegate has been given a 32-month driving ban after being found almost four times over the drink-drive limit.
Emma Tingley, 45, of West Close, was driving a black Ford Focus involved in a head-on collision with a white Toyota Aygo in Willingdon Drove, Eastbourne.
Her vehicle had drifted onto the wrong side of the carriageway prior to the incident on the evening of November 30.
A white DAF van was also involved in the collision, which sustained slight damage, but police said no injuries were reported.
Tingley failed a roadside breath test, and was arrested and charged with driving with 134mcg of alcohol per 100ml of breath in her system.
The legal limit is 35mcg.
After pleading guilty to the offence, she was disqualified from driving for 32 months and was sentenced to a 12-month community order, which requires her to carry out 200 hours of unpaid work.
She was also ordered to pay costs of £85 and an £85 victim surcharge.
