A man has been taken to hospital requiring surgery for a serious hand injury following a collision on the A23 at Handcross on Saturday (January, 20).

Around 11am, a dark grey Audi TT collided with a black Kia Picanto and overturned, about 300 yards north of the junction with the A2114.

The 36-year-old man injured, from South Croydon, was taken to St George’s Hospital in London.

A 31-year-old man from Thornton Heath suffered slight hand injuries, and was taken to the East Surrey Hospital at Redhill for treatment.

The driver of the Kia, a 44-year-old woman from Hove, suffered minor injuries, but was not taken to hospital.
