A pedestrian has been flown to hospital with serious injuries this afternoon (Thursday, 25) following a collision with a car in Worthing.

The car and the man collided in Broadwater Road at midday.

The man, believed to be local and in his 40s, was taken by air ambulance to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton.

Road closures are currently in place.

Police said they want to talk to the driver of a green 7.5 tonne lorry which was passing just before the incident.
