A 12-year-old boy has been left with a fractured right knee after a car collided with him in Ore, and then failed to stop.
It happened in Winchelsea Lane opposite the Hastings Academy shortly before 4pm on Monday (January, 29).
The child was taken to be treated at the Conquest Hospital in St Leonards following the incident.
Police said the black 4×4 or sports utility vehicle failed to stop at the scene, and drove off without leaving details.
The driver has been described as a white man, who was bald, or had short, shaved hair.
Officers now want to speak to the driver, as well as witnesses to the collision.
