Supermarket chain Lidl has confirmed 40 new jobs have been created prior to their new store in Polegate opening next week.

The company is set to open its doors to customers at 8am next Thursday (February, 15).

Store facilities will include an in-store bakery, longer-style tills with dual packing, customer toilet, and parking for cars and bicycles.

Paul Mason, Lidl UK’s regional head of property said:

“We would like to thank all those who have played a part in bringing this new Lidl store to Polegate.

“It is great for us to be able to create more jobs and investment opportunities in the area, and we can’t wait to start serving our multi-award winning products to the local community.”

The company said the new store is part of their ongoing expansion and regeneration plans in the UK.
