Patrick Reville has been jailed for 32 weeks.

A prolific shoplifter from Hastings has been jailed for 32 weeks after admitting to a number of thefts in the town.

Patrick Reville, 52, unemployed, of St George’s Road, carried out incidents at Tesco Express in Havelock Road, Millets at York Buildings, and Sainsbury’s Local in Station Plaza.

Part of his sentence also included the activation of a suspended sentence after he breached its terms.

Chief Inspector Steve Curry, District Police Commander for Hastings and Rother, described Reville as a ‘recidivist’ who repeatedly offended, even when on bail, and showed scant regard for conditions imposed on him.

He said:

“His jailing sends a clear message that his repeat offending and total disrespect for the judicial system will not be tolerated.”
