A woman has been left with a suspected fractured wrist and taken to hospital after a road rage incident in East Preston.

The 33-year-old from Worthing was driving a Vauxhall Astra on the A259 when she was tailgated by a Peugeot, and pulled over to let the vehicle past.

However, at the level crossing in Roundstone Lane, the woman got out of her Vauxhall and approached the Peugeot, before an argument broke out.

The victim was then injured when the Peugeot drove forward while she had her hands placed on the bonnet of the car.

Police are appealing to anyone who was in the area, and might have seen the cars before or during the incident.
