A rescue helicopter has been sent to Beachy Head after a paraglider crashed into the main cliff.
HM Coastguard and emergency services were called just after midday yesterday (February, 18) to the scene, the east of the lighthouse.
The paraglider was reported as not being injured, but was stuck a quarter of the way up the cliff, just below the Bomber Memorial.
As well as the HM Coastguard search and rescue helicopter, teams from Eastbourne and Birling Gap Coastguard Rescue Teams and Eastbourne RNLI were also in attendance, along with Sussex Police and the South East Coast Ambulance Service.
The coastguard said the paraglider was winched to safety, and was uninjured following the incident.
