A man armed with a baseball bat has smashed a number of windows at a ground floor flat in Shoreham.

The incident took place on Saturday (February, 17) around 6.30pm at the property in Old Shoreham Road, on the corner of Freehold Street.

Police have described the suspect as white, aged in his late 40s, and bald.

A 52-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of criminal damage, and released under investigation.

A police spokesperson said:

“The location of the incident is close to a set of traffic lights, and there may have been witnesses sitting in their vehicles queuing in traffic there.

“We want to hear from anyone who may be able to help us with our investigation.”
