Police have arrested two men in connection with a stabbing in Arundel.

A 31-year-old man was found with a stab wound to his body in Herington Road just after 8.30pm on Tuesday (February, 20).

Police said he was taken to hospital, where he is currently in a stable condition.

A 32-year-old man, from the town, was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm, while a 34-year-old man from Westergate was arrested on suspicion of causing actual bodily harm.

Both men have been questioned and released under investigation.

Officers said the investigation is at an early stage, but it is not believed to be a random attack.
