A man has been charged with two counts of murder after a mother and daughter were shot dead in East Sussex.
35-year-old Craig Savage of no fixed address, is due in court via videolink today (20 March).
He is charged with the murders of Michelle Savage and Heather Whitbread at their home in Bexhill Road, in St. Leonards.
The fatal shooting happened last Friday evening (16 March).
Two other women, including one who is pregnant, were taken to safety from the property.
Mr Savage, is also charged with committing robbery in relation to the theft of a .22 calibre rifle firearm and ammunition.
He is charged with the theft from the 1066 Target Sports in Sedlescombe Road North, also in the town on the same day.
Savage has been remanded in custody to appear at Brighton Magistrates’ Court via videolink.
The mother and daughter, have been described by their family as ‘beautiful people’ who filled them with laughter.
