A man has been treated in hospital following a ‘vicious’ attack at the back of his home in Littlehampton.
The 54-year-old challenged two boys, part of a group of six, who were in his garage at the back of Norfolk Road around 2pm on Saturday (March, 17).
Police said as the victim tried to detain them, one broke free, and the man was punched multiple times in the side of his head.
He then headed to Worthing Hospital, where he was treated for extensive bruising.
Officers said nothing was stolen.
The first suspect has been described as white, with red hair, aged around 14 to 15, and wearing dark clothing, with tracksuit bottoms elasticated at the bottom.
The other suspect has been described as mixed race, with curly hair, and a spotty complexion.
