A former teacher at a public school in Sussex has been convicted for a series of historical sex offences against six teenage girls.
Ajaz Karim, 63, was found guilty yesterday (Thursday, 19) of nine counts of indecent assault and one of attempted indecent assault, while he was working at Christ’s Hospital School near Horsham.
The offences took place in the late 1980s and early 1990s, while police said the school has co-operated fully with the investigation.
Detective Constable Rebecca Wilde said:
“We are glad that the six victims, who had the courage to come forward even after all this time, have now seen him face justice.”
Karim, of Baron’s Court Road in London, has been remanded in custody for sentencing later this year.
