A young pedestrian has died after a van collided with him on the A27 westbound early this morning (Tuesday, 1).
Emergency services were called to the incident shortly after 1am, close to the junction with Shopwhyke Road in Chichester.
The pedestrian, an 18-year-old man living locally, had serious head injuries and was taken to Southampton Hospital, where he later died.
Police are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed events leading up to the collision, the collision itself, or anyone who stopped to offer assistance, to get in touch.
