An elderly woman from Eastbourne who died following a road collision near Hailsham has been named.

Gloria Rosato, 86, of Hamilton Quay, was the front seat passenger in a Ford Puma, which collided with a Jeep Cherokee near the Gleneagles roundabout.

She died at the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton last Thursday (April, 26), following the incident on April 19.

The driver of the Ford Puma, another 86-year-old woman from the town, remains in a serious condition at the Conquest Hospital in Hastings.

The driver of the Jeep Cherokee, a 60-year-old man from Lewes, sustained minor injuries and was also taken to the Conquest Hospital, but later discharged.
