A man from Rye has been left with life-changing injuries following an assault outside a club in the town.

The 35-year-old was attacked outside Club Horizon in Ferry Road between 1.30am and 2am on Sunday, May 6.

He was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton, where he was diagnosed with life-changing injuries.

An 18-year-old man from St Leonards was arrested on suspicion of committing grievous bodily harm without intent, and released under investigation.
