A man has been jailed for four and a half years for drug dealing in Crawley, along with possession of a knife and a CS canister.
Michael Murray, 26, of no fixed address, had previously pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply cocaine, money laundering, possession of a CS canister and one count of possession of a bladed article.
Murray was arrested after police were called to a hotel in Goffs Park Road in February, following reports of an aggressive guest who was refusing to leave.
They found Murray in his hotel room with several hundred wraps of cocaine with a street value of around £9,000, a quantity of cannabis, nearly £10,000 in cash, drug dealing paraphernalia, and a canister of CS gas.
Detective Constable Melanie Fox said:
“We are committed to disrupting the supply of drugs in Crawley.
“This sentence shows that anyone convicted of dealing drugs in Sussex can expect a jail term.”
Murray was sentenced at Hove Crown Court on Friday (May, 18).
