A public meeting will be held tonight (Thursday, 11) to reveal proposals for transforming Brooklands Park in Worthing.
Worthing Borough Council’s masterplan will be revealed for the future of the lake.
Officials said the views of the local community have been taken into consideration.
That includes the 800 written responses from residents.
Authority officials said a substantial sum has already been spent in transforming the lake into a haven for wildlife.
In August, a spokesman for Worthing Borough Council said they would remain committed to transforming the park into an exciting family-friendly attraction.
Tonight, the council will reveal plans to transform the whole site.
Two identical presentations will be presented in order to maximise the opportunity for people to see the proposals.
They will be held from 6pm to 7.15pm, and again from 7.45pm to 9pm in the Richmond Room at Worthing Town Hall.
A representative from the consultants Chris Blandford Associates will be attending.
Worthing borough council’s executive member for digital and environmental services, Edward crouch, will be available to answer questions.
