Cash machine stolen from Sainsbury's

A cash machine has been pulled from the wall of a Sainsbury’s Local in High Street, Billingshurst.

Police were called at 4.23am last night (Thursday, 11) to reports of a machine being pulled out of the wall with a JCB.

Three suspects then loaded it into the back of a Land Rover and drove away from the scene.

The JCB, which is believed to have been stolen, was left behind.

Detective Sergeant Vicky Guy said:

“We are urging anyone who witnessed the incident to get in contact with us immediately.

“The theft occurred in the middle of the night and it would have caused a substantial amount of noise. Did you get woken up by it?

“Please report any information to us without delay to aid us with our investigation.”
