Police are investigating after a pensioner was attacked by a dog and left bleeding at a park in East Grinstead.

The 77-year-old was walking in the Mount Noddy Recreation Ground around 8.30am on Saturday, November 25, when the animal, described as a small bulldog, jumped up at him.

The victim’s legs were both bitten, causing him to bled.

Police said the owner then recalled his dog and walked off without speaking to or checking the welfare of the victim.

The suspect has been described as white, around 5’11” tall, and of a medium build.
