An e-fit has been released by police of a man they want to talk to.

Police have released an e-fit of a man they want to talk after an incident at a home in Hastings led to a man suffering serious injuries, including a punctured lung.

A couple answered the door to a man who burst into their premises in Beauclerk Way brandishing a knife on Sunday (February, 4) around 8pm.

The male occupant of the premises climbed out of a window and onto the roof to evade the intruder, who then fled.

However, the victim fell onto a grassed area when trying to climb back through the window.

Police said after initial treatment at The Conquest Hospital, he was transferred to the Royal Sussex County Hospital where he is in a serious but stable condition.

The suspect has been described as black, between 5’6″ to 5’7″ tall, of a stocky build, and was wearing a hooded green top.

He is missing one of his front teeth.

Anyone who recognises the man in the e-fit or has information is asked to report it online here, or call 101, quoting reference number 1099 of 04/02.
