A murder investigation has been launched after the bodies of a man and his two children were found in East Sussex, while a woman was also found dead at her home in Twickenham.
Metropolitan Police were called to South Road shortly before 6pm yesterday (Monday, 5) following concerns about the welfare of the occupants.
The woman, believed to be in her 40s, was found dead at the scene with stab injuries.
Police said detectives then quickly sought to establish the welfare of her husband, 57, and two children, aged seven and ten.
Sussex Police had discovered the bodies of the man and the two boys at Birling Gap seafront just before 5pm.
Officers said formal identification is still to take place, but they believe they are the woman’s immediate family.
A vehicle was recovered nearby by Sussex Police, while a crime scene remains in place at the Twickenham address.
Police said next of kin have been informed, while post-mortem examinations for all four individuals will take place in due course.
No arrests have been made, while officers said they are not looking for anyone else in connection with this investigation.
