A 29-year-old motorcyclist has died after a fatal crash in Falmer Road, Rottingdean this morning (Thursday, 6).
Police were called to the scene at around 7am, where a car and a motorbike were involved in a serious collision.
The two vehicles crashed near the junction with Court Farm Road.
Emergency services took the motorcyclist, who is from Brighton, to the Royal Sussex County Hospital where he died from his injuries.
The driver of the Nissan Juke, a 35-year-old man from Peacehaven, was arrested on suspicion of death by dangerous driving.
He remains in custody.
Sergeant Vicki Rees said:
“We are appealing to anyone who was driving through Rottingdean on Thursday morning and saw what happened or captured anything which might help on their dash-cam.”
