Cyclist hospitalised after hit-and-run in Eastbourne

A woman has needed hospital treatment after a hit-and-run in Eastbourne yesterday (Sunday, 20).

The woman, who is in her 30s, was cycling along Langney Road when a silver car emerged from Pevensey Road and struck her.

The vehicle, of which the make and model is unknown, failed to stop at the scene shortly before 7am.

St Leonard’s Conquest Hospital treated the woman for minor injuries and police are appealing for the driver to come forward.
