A cat has died from its injuries after being stabbed in North Gardens, Brighton.
Police said it was reported to have happened from when the owner let the cat out after dinner at 6.55pm on Monday (February, 4).
The owner was then informed by the neighbour that the cat had been found injured at about 7.30pm.
A vet confirmed the cat died as a result of a stab wound.
Police are investigating a number of reports of cat deaths and injuries in Brighton.
Detective Sergeant Duncan Lloyd said:
“We would like to hear from anyone in the area who noticed anyone acting suspiciously around this time on Monday or has any information about similar incidents.”
