Three men have been arrested and bailed after a man was stabbed in Bexhill on Saturday (March, 9).
The 29-year-old local victim suffered several stab wounds to his head and legs.
The incident occurred shortly before 1.30am on or near the footbridge over the railway line between Endwell Road and Station Road.
After treatment in the Royal Sussex County Hospital, Brighton, the victim was reported to be in a stable condition.
A 39-year-old man from Bexhill was arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent and being concerned in the production of a class B drug – Cannabis.
He was bailed until Saturday (April, 6), as was a 42-year-old man from Battle, who was arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent.
A 26-year-old from Bexhill was also arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent.
He was bailed until Sunday (April, 7).
Detective Inspector Rob Morland said:
“We are appealing for information from anyone who was in the area in the early hours of Saturday morning and who saw any suspicious activity.”
