MasterChef winner of 2018 Kenny Tutt has opened his first restaurant in Worthing.
Pitch was officially opened in Warwick Street yesterday (Friday, 24) and restaurant owner Kenny Tutt said having it in his home town is the ‘cherry on top’.
The chef previously said he would be drawing inspiration from a variety of sources, including the local area and surrounding Sussex countryside.
“I feel a lot of love.
“Every very fiber of me and my family has gone into this.
“From my time on MasterChef to actually being here now, it’s incredible.
“It’s been a mad year and I’m somewhere I love with people having good fun, eating good food, drinking good wine and it’s a dream.”
Kenny said he wanted the restaurant to be in his home town to support the local community and businesses.
The chef, who lives in Tarring, said Worthing is a great location next to Brighton and London with beautiful towns and cities around it.
“The people here are so warm and friendly, we’ve got great weather and produce as well.
“The supplies down here, fish, tomatatos, cheeses, dairy, Sussex meets – it’s been like a bounty of stuff.
“It’s worked out lovely and I can just walk to work which is amazing.”
