Billingshurst barn fire being treated as ‘deliberate’

A fire in Billingshurst is being treated as deliberate, according to police.

A police investigation is underway following a fire which destroyed a barn in Billingshurst this morning (Wednesday, 12).

Officers said the blaze at Roundstreet Common in Loxwood is being treated as ‘a deliberate ignition’.

Firefighters from Bognor, Billingshurst, Horsham and Petworth were called out shortly before 4:45am.

West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service, who was assisted by Sussex Police and Surrey Fire and Rescue Service, said the barn was ‘completely destroyed’.
