Passengers throw man off Brighton bus for racially abusing woman and her children
A man has been stabbed in the neck in a Brighton pub, according to police.

Passengers on a Brighton and Hove bus have thrown a man off after he reportedly shouted racist abuse at a woman and her children.

Police said a man was reported to have got on the number seven bus outside Morrisons in St James’ Street at 5pm on Saturday, July 6.

Once on the bus, he then shouted racist abuse at a woman wearing a hijab and her three children.

Investigating officers said passengers, including a man who reported the crime, intervened and threw him off.

PC Tessa Heath said:

“We received a report of a hate crime from a third party who was on the bus.

“We have not been able to trace the victim.

“We would like to speak to a man who was on the bus in connection with this incident.

“He was wearing a baseball cap, a grey T-shirt, light brown camouflage shorts and blue and white trainers.”
