Man arrested in East Sussex on suspicion of modern slavery 

A man has been arrested on suspicion of offences including modern slavery in East Sussex. 

Sussex Police have confirmed a 49-year-old from South Wales was arrested and interviewed on suspicion of production of cannabis and modern slavery on Sunday (August, 11).

He has been released on bail until September 7. 

A man and woman identified initial enquiries are safe, according to officers. 

Police said the investigation is at an early stage and no further information is being released at this time.
